Guangdong Launches New Website for Cross-Boundary Yacht Travel

GBA

Guangdong Province’s Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) has launched a new internet platform to facilitate cross-boundary yacht travel between Hong Kong, Macao, and the mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area.

The website, “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Free Yacht Travel Informational Management System” (粵港澳遊艇自由行信息管理系統), allows boat owners, crew members, and various types of organisations to register personal accounts tied to their government-issued identification. Users can then use the interface to upload required documentation, such as skipper certification and vessel inspection reports, and consult all relevant guidelines, providing a one-stop shop for stakeholders throughout the region.

Visit the full website and register here.

The Guangdong MSA also recently released guidelines outlining the sheltered waters in the province where boats from Hong Kong and Macau are currently permitted to moor. Read the official document in Chinese or our English translation here.
